Mu’awiya Abubakar



Fellow Biography

Mu’awiya Abubakar has over 8 years’ experience of lecturing in the Department of Building, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He taught and examined several construction managements courses, supervised a number of undergraduate and post graduate projects, and was involved in a number of building
construction projects. A registered (professional) Builder and secretary of the Kaduna state chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Building (NIOB). He is a founding member of a charity organization in Zaria and has successfully coordinated the N-Power Build artisans’ upskilling training in Zaria. He holds a B.Sc. in Building, (with a second class upper), M.Sc. and a Ph.D. in Construction Management, from Ahmadu Bello University. He was at the M.E. Rinker Sr. School of Construction Management, University of Florida, as a visiting Ph.D. scholar and he attended Barewa College, Zaria for a post primary education.

Mu’awiya is passionate about order and good governance. He enjoys talking to and inspiring young people towards success in academics, business and leadership roles. He loves reading, travelling, and supporting the less privileged in the society.
