Maryam Sani Dangaji is presently the Director, State Planning Department at the Kaduna State Planning and Budget Commission. She is also the Program Manager Kaduna State Economic Transformation Program-for-Result (PforR). A World Bank financing support to the State Development Plan. Maryam successfully coordinated the closed World Bank funded Public Sector Governance Reforms and Development Project (PSGRDP) in 2018.
She obtained a BSc in Economics and Post Graduate Diploma in Management from the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria in 2002 and 2008 respectively. Maryam began her career as a Civil Servant in Chikun Local Government in 2005 then to Igabi Local Government in 2010 as Planning Officer. Thereafter, she joined the mainstream Civil Service in 2011 with the then Ministry of Economic Planning. While in service she obtained a master’s degree in Industrial and Labour Relations from the Kaduna State University (KASU). Maryam also holds an Introductory Certificate in Public Procurement, Level 2, CIPS Accredited. She has undergone several leadership courses both within and outside the Country and she presently mentors five Officers in her Department as part of succession planning to strengthen capacity. Consequently, she was recently awarded Year 2019 Best Performing Director of the Planning and Budget Commission.
She is happily married with two children.
