Oyinkansola Odidi is a communication enthusiast and is keenly passionate about leadership, local and international development. Oyin is an alumnus of YALI (Young African Leaders Initiative), an initiative of the United States Department of State, which commenced in 2010 by President Barack Obama, to support young African leaders as they spur growth and prosperity, strengthen democratic governance, and enhance peace and security across Africa. She volunteers with the mentorship department of Slum2School Africa and is also a member of the ForbesWomen Forum amongst other communities.
Although a graduate of Biochemistry from Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria, Oyin is a risk analyst with work experience spanning across credit and market risk analysis, portfolio management, as well as regulatory reporting. Oyin has worked as an Online Media Curator with a web design and application development firm. She is also currently pursuing a Post Graduate Degree in Development Communication at Ahmadu Bello University, Nigeria.
In 2015, Oyin represented Nigeria at 33Sixty, a Commonwealth Conference organised by Common Purpose, in Malta, where she worked closely with other young exceptional individuals from across the Commonwealth on matters relating majorly to migration and other global challenges.
Oyin currently manages Havilah Golden Foods, a start-up that produces 100% natural, gluten-free and healthy foods and snacks for the entire family, including pets.
When she isn’t working, you will likely find Oyin listening to music, exploring beautiful places, attempting to write , trying to practise speaking French or talking about how the world can become a better place.
