Uchenna Nkwonta

Uchenna Nkwonta is a Nigerian trained medical doctor with over four years’ experience in providing clinical and support services to patients and in supporting public health programs and health research projects in Nigeria, Rwanda and the United Kingdom. He has a keen interest in health system strengthening and financing to achieve universal health coverage and has a strong passion for the development and implementation of equitable health policies that are focused on addressing the social determinants behind poor health outcomes in resource-constraint settings.

Uchenna has an MSc in Global Health Delivery from the University of Global Health Equity, Rwanda, and on the verge of completing an MSc in Global Health Policy from the London School of Economics and Political Science under the Commonwealth scholarship. He has worked as a medical officer in both the public and private health sectors in Nigeria, and more recently worked as a Research Assistant with the Care Policy and Evaluation Center where he was involved in supporting health policy research projects of the United Kingdom’s National Institute of Health Research (NIHR) School for Social Care Research.
